Urbechi, which is worth a try

You often ask us, what is urbech, and what is it eaten with? 😋
To begin with, Urbech is a paste made from ground raw nuts or seeds. As part of these pastes, there are no more additives — no oils, no sugar, no other ingredients. It is just a concentrate of benefit in one jar, and each Urbech is useful in its own way.
“If everything is more or less clear with nut nuts - they are swallowed up very quickly, especially tender cashews or peanuts, then what about those from different seeds, apricot kernels, sesame?
“They can be mixed with honey or added to morning cereals / smoothies / salads! 1-2 tablespoons of Urbech is enough to enrich your diet with essential vitamins or add a portion of protein to your breakfast.
Yes, some of the urbachey taste is specific - what one likes, may not be so tasty to another. BUT, you can try different combinations with your favorite dishes, and most importantly, it’s health benefits👍

What is urbech?

Urbech is a paste made from ground nuts or seeds. Usually Urbechi does not contain nothing, besides these seeds and nuts, so this is the best alternative to my dearly beloved Nutella (by the way, our affair with it has already ended). There are different Urbechi: from peanuts, almonds, flax seeds ... Depending on the variety, their caloric content differs, but in any case Urbech is a very high-calorie product. At least 400-500 calories per hundred grams and a lot of fat. But! This is a healthy vegetable fat (more on fats here).

Why do I love urbech?

It seems to me that even the word love is not appropriate here - I LOVE Urbech. It perfectly complements oatmeal or yogurt in the morning and serves as the best snack in the evenings (on a piece of bread or so, with a spoon). Fruit with Urbech is a classic snack, and before the morning workout I like to throw a couple of dates with a peanut Urbech. This is the perfect food when you want to eat something nourishing, but do not want to fill your stomach.

Sunflower Urbech

To taste Urbach sunflower seeds is very similar to halva. In combination with a banana and a grain loaf the taste becomes more balanced. And although this Urbech always turns out to be a little more bold, I take it for its economy (you can find 200 for 120 rubles).

Sesame Seed Urbech

Sometimes this Urbech is also called “Tkhina” and is used to make hummus. Urbatch has a bitter taste from sesame and it is quite liquid. As a fan of everything unusual, I like it, but if you like more classic combinations, it's better not to take it. As for me, thin is best mixed with something just as exotic, the usual apple loses the peach or the dates here.

Peanut Urbach

Expected: Urbach peanut tastes like peanuts 😉 And this is my favorite Urbach, because it is the most versatile and contains a large amount of protein (25 grams per hundred grams). Unlike the previous two, peanut Urbech has the most common nutty flavor and therefore will appeal to even the fussy. I also like to add a pinch of salt to it (but not in a jar, and then eat it all).

And finally ...

Many people say that they do not like Urbechi for astringent taste. But here, as they say, the taste and color ... I even like that.

It is also very cool to add honey to these nut paste, but then there is a VERY great risk to get carried away and grind the whole jar at a time.

You can find Urbechi in various eco-stores or in health food stores. In a regular supermarket, if nutmeal pastes come across, they are more expensive and contain every kind of chymosis, lots of sugar and extra oil # NeKruto. In general, the happy owners of a powerful blender can prepare an Urbach at home if they stock up on nuts and patience (depending on the type of blender, it can take from 5 to 20 minutes to prepare Urbatch)

Perhaps this is all I wanted to tell you about my favorite Urbeche! The main thing to remember is that everything needs measure. A tablespoon of Urbech pleasantly diversifies your daily menu, but five of these spoons will give a couple of centimeters at the waist 😉

Your turn: Ever tried urbech?
What is your favorite brand?
Do you like health food stores?I quietly hate them, because I always come out with full packages and leave unreal amounts there. I want to buy everything!

Mystery of Dagestan aksakals

What is hidden under this "overseas" word? Urbech is the pasta traditionally prepared in Dagestan, carefully grinding the flax and hemp seeds with stone millstones, as well as various types of nuts and seeds. Outwardly, it resembles a viscous chocolate mixture. Poppy can give it a characteristic dark color, and natural honey can give it sweetness.

Since the process of cooking does not use thermal and any other processing, the components of the paste retain all the initially useful substances.

Let's find out why this product is so valuable:

  1. Due to the rich composition of the paste is recommended to use to increase the body's defenses and replenish the required amount of protein. The last component in the product is even more than in meat and cottage cheese.
  2. Such a natural mixture perfectly helps to restore strength after heavy physical and mental exertion. Incredibly, it can even quench thirst and saturate the body for a long time. That is why Dagestanis must take it with them in case of the need for long mountain crossings.
  3. Recommended use of such a product and those who suffer from diseases of the digestive and cardiovascular systems. It also helps to reduce blood sugar levels.

But if you dig deeper, it turns out that these are not all useful properties. The pastes, components that affect the eyesight, nervous system, skin condition, and even help those who want to get rid of extra pounds, have a positive effect.

Main types and features of production

Urbech can be prepared not only from flax seeds. It may also be:

  • sesame,
  • hemp,
  • sunflower,
  • apricot kernels,
  • almond
  • pumpkin seeds.

Often, these components are combined in one paste, making it a real superfood.

How to cook Urbech at home? From the products will be needed:

  • flax seeds - 500 g,
  • honey - 100 ml,
  • apricot seeds - 20 g,
  • butter - 50 g

This is the easiest recipe. To make a paste, you need to carefully rub the seeds in a mortar. It is undesirable to use a blender or a coffee grinder for this purpose, since with their help it is not always possible to obtain the desired fat consistency.

After grinding, honey and butter melted in a water bath are added to the mass, mixed and put into a glass container. It is worth noting that Urbech is a high-calorie paste, so it should be used in moderation. The optimal amount is 2-3 tsp. in a day.

But, despite all the useful properties, this product has its own contraindications:

  • component allergy,
  • excessive passion sweet can adversely affect the shape.

In addition to being used in its pure form, Urbech can also be used to make sauces and dressings. Cook with pleasure!

Urbech- what is it?

It is a thick mass of oily texture, which is obtained from seeds ground on stone millstones: hemp, flax, sunflower, sesame and nuts: almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, pistachios.

Product options

Traditional classic Urbech made from flax or apricot kernels.

There are also various options for combining Urbech, which is obtained by mixing flax seeds with almonds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, various nuts, apricot pits!

Imagine how much benefit in it. And most importantly, it has been proven for centuries!

What is useful Urbech?

Urbech was a unique food product that helped people survive in the cruel conditions of struggle for life in the mountains.
